The full story
Solstice is the traditional sauna done properly: western red cedar, a rounded room that circulates heat evenly, and a heater with stones you can pour water over for real steam. It reaches 194°F, seats four, and turns a corner of the garden into a Nordic ritual.
Heat, at home
Sweat like you mean it.
“Backyard sauna dreams”
Cedar smells incredible, heats fast, and looks like a piece of art in the garden. Neighbours are jealous.
“Real löyly at -10 outside”
Ladle water on the stones while it snows sideways. 190°F inside, minus ten outside. This is the sauna I grew up with in Finland.
“Four of us, every Sunday”
The whole family fits on the two tiers. Sunday sauna has replaced Sunday screens, which I would have paid double for.
“The garden centrepiece”
The red cedar is silvering beautifully in the English weather. It heats properly - this is not a garden gimmick, it is a real sauna.
“Book the electrician early”
The 240V line was the only wait - three weeks for a good electrician. The sauna itself arrived fast and went up in a day.
“194 and snowing - perfect”
Bought it for winter and it delivered: proper high heat, steam off the stones, then straight into the snow. Nothing better.
“Every evening ends here”
The heat goes deep instead of just baking the air around you. Assembly was two people, one evening, no drama. Evening sessions have replaced doom-scrolling entirely.
“Deep sweat, zero fuss”
From cold cabin to full sweat in about a quarter hour. Assembly was two people, one evening, no drama. Guests ask about it before they ask about anything else.
Questions, answered
Do I need a plumber or electrician? +
The plunge runs on a standard 110V outlet in the US (13A UK/EU) and needs no plumbing - you fill it once and the filtration keeps it clean. Saunas plug into a standard outlet; the barrel sauna needs a dedicated 240V line, which we flag before you order.
How cold does the plunge get, and how hot the sauna? +
Every plunge chills to 37°F (2.8°C) and holds any temperature you set. Infrared saunas reach 150°F, the traditional barrel reaches 194°F (90°C).
What does freight and delivery look like? +
White-glove in the lower 48 - we deliver, place and start it for you. UK & EU ship curbside with a two-person crew option. All freight is included in the price you see.
Can I finance it? +
Yes. Affirm and Klarna are built into checkout. Most builds split over 6 to 24 months, from $0 down, with a soft credit check that will not affect your score.
How do I keep the water clean? +
A 20-micron filter plus ozone and UV keep the plunge clear for 3-4 weeks between changes. We send a maintenance kit with every plunge and a simple 2-minute weekly routine.
